Welcome to Elderfield Gift Guide

Quick answer: gifts matter for friendship and romance, but this page separates confirmed gift mechanics from gift rows that still need current-build verification.

Best Current Use

If you are trying to raise relationship progress, start from the character, then record each gift reaction separately.

How To Verify A Gift

  1. Save the character name, item name, reaction text, and friendship change if visible.
  2. Note whether the observation came from the full Steam release or an older demo build.
  3. Test repeated gifts only after checking whether the game has daily limits.
  4. Link the result to Romance if the gift affects a romance route.

Player Steps

Pick one character at a time. Before giving an item, record the date or route state, the item name, and whether the item is common or rare. After the gift, record the reaction text exactly, any visible relationship change, and whether the item was consumed. If the game gives the same reaction on a second day, mark that as a repeat observation rather than assuming the whole gift table is complete.

For romance planning, separate a gift preference from a romance signal. A loved gift can help relationship progress, but it does not prove that a character is marriageable. When a gift clearly affects a romance route, link the observation back to Romance or Marriage with the source context.

Failure Modes

The biggest gift-guide failure is copying a list from another build without checking reaction text. Another common mistake is treating neutral gifts as liked because no penalty appeared. If the game has daily limits, repeated tests on the same day may not show the real preference. If a rare item is involved, save first or test with a lower-risk item until the character route is clearer.

Do not mark a row as loved, liked, or hated unless the reaction is visible enough to support that label. If a source only says "good gift" or "worked for me", keep it as a lead rather than a final row.

Gift FAQ

Are the gift rows complete? No. The table is a verification workspace until current-build reactions are recorded.

Can I use gifts to prove romance eligibility? No. Gifts can support relationship progress, but romance and marriage eligibility need separate evidence.

What should a confirmed row include? Character, item, reaction tier, observed text or effect, build context, and whether the item was consumed.

Should I add community gift lists? Use them as discovery leads. Promote only rows that can be checked against the current build.

Source-Linked Evidence Notes

Steam supports the broader relationship context but does not publish character-by-character gift tables. Wiki.gg and community guides can identify candidate items to test. This page only treats a gift row as stronger evidence when the observation includes character, item, reaction tier, build context, and whether the result was seen directly.
